Malayan Colleges Mindanao opened up new opportunities with the same core values that they have been upholding since their opening here in Davao City by rebranding their school to Mapúa Malayan Colleges Mindanao. Last April 27, 2023 I was invited to witness the school’s unveiling of its rebranded Façade.

The event started with the unveiling of their new logo, to be followed by an open forum where media was given a chance to ask their questions about the rebranding of Mapúa Malayan Colleges Mindanao. Their school has been existing here in Davao City since 2015, but the Mapúa Colleges has been a known school in Manila for decades. Their legacy is driven around their engineering, architecture, and computer sciences having the best program for future engineers and such to be equipped to join the workforce.
When they entered Davao for the first time, I was already aware of how great their school is in the line of engineering and computer sciences because my father attended a couple of years in Mapúa Manila for his education. They specialize in creating the best engineers and computer engineering students because of their high end facilities and technological advancements.
The announcement was made by Dr. Dodjie S. Maestrecampo Mapúa MCM President during the recent unveiling of the school’s new logo on the Davao Campus.
Aside from the world- class programs and courses, Mapúa MCM uses a learner centered, outcomes- based approach, which is the signature learning methodology of Mapúa schools. Mapúa is also research based making them achieve clear learning results to help them have a keen goal to their interests.
L “What does the rebranding mean for the students, faculty member and employees?”- The rebranding focuses on establishing partnerships with international universities like its recent collaborations with Arizona State University- the #1 most innovative university in the U.S. as ranked by US News and World Report for the 8th consecutive year.
It is clear that the school has flourished with just 5 years in Davao City. Since it first opened its doors, Mapúa MCM has cemented its foundations as one of the leading private schools in Mindanao. Growing from 1,200 in population in 2018 to over 5,000 students last year.
