It’s Mother’s Day again!
It’s our time to feel special.
Every year since I’ve been a mother, my family will always make sure that I feel special on this day. They would send me flowers and small gifts. And I really appreciated this gesture. We would have nice romantic dinners at our favorite restaurants. And we even stayed over at Marco Polo Davao once. This was a special day for our family.
Let’s have a little throwback, shall we?
Mother’s Day 2015- My First Mother’s Day
We spent our Mother’s Day with a little vacation at Buda. Aiden was only 2 months old this time, and being a mother was a new thing for me. I was lucky to be surrounded by 2 great moms that helped me get used to my new life. My sister, who is a strong single mother of 2 kids, has always been our number 1 babysitter. She would make sure to have leave days when our kids were born so she can spend a couple of days at our house to help around. My mother, one of the bravest women I know, has always been supportive of my journey.
Mother’s Day 2016- Weekend at the Beach
We crossed the water to Samal Island for our 2nd Mother’s Day Celebration. We love the beach, and at this time, our little had just turned 1. We just got back from our Hong Kong trip and was itching for some sun!
Mother’s Day 2017- Baby Number 2
We were blessed with another baby boy and was able to celebrate Mother’s Day with another sweetheart.
Mother’s Day 2018- We took a trip to Manila
We were able to take another trip just before Mother’s Day. Our youngest had just turned 1 and we wanted to bring him to Manila. There were a lot of things to do in Manila and the kids enjoyed this short trip. We even brought two of our nephews to come along during this trip.
Mother’s Day 2019- StayCation at Seda Hotel
Last year we celebrated Mother’s Day with a good staycation. We’ve never been to Seda hotel so we decided to grab this chance and have an overnight stay. We enjoyed taking long afternoon naps, walking to the nearby mall, and enjoying great food at the hotel. There was a great breakfast buffet the next day and everyone loved it!
Mother’s Day 2020- Quarantine Celebration
Our Quarantine Mother’s Day was still full of love and great memories even though we were staying home. The boys made me Mother’s Day cards and my husband surprised me with a gift. He couldn’t get anything from a real store since only groceries were open, so he bought me a functional gift instead. He bought me new Mason Jars measuring cups for my baking. I love them! Indeed a great and practical gift. We prepared a great dinner for everyone and spent the night watching a movie. It was simple, yet they made me feel special that day and that’s all that matters.
I wanted Moms to feel special on Mother’s Day that’s why I did a grocery giveaway on my page. I raffled off a mother who received her 1,500 pesos worth of grocery items. It was a simple gesture to a special mom. I wish I could provide for everyone who joined but that’s all I can give for now.
A lot of moms wanted to have something in the line of skin-care and I wanted to give them what they wanted. I know how much skin-care and self-care can affect a mother’s mood and I wanted them to know that during these hard times we should always take care of ourselves too.
I am giving away 1,000 pesos worth of skin-care items to one lucky Mommy!
