15 Years of You and Me with CBTL
Last June 16, I got the chance to celebrate Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf’s 15th Anniversary along with other members of Davao Bloggers Society. Getting the best quality coffee is important for a mother because nothing ever gets done right without a good caffeine fix. During college, I prefer staying at home while I study and not have the typical study- out routine that most people have. I make my own coffee to keep me sane and prepared for a full night of studying (yes I know, I’m a nerd). Lately, I have been taking a lot of “Me time” and sanity breaks with my favorite coffee shop which is The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. 2018 marks the 15th year since The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf started their journey in the Philippines. Their first cafe was in Brentwood, California in the year 1963 and they have been improving and innovating their handcrafted products. It is known that they are the oldest and largest privately held specialty coffee and tea retailers in the world. They aim higher than the standard and only selecting the top 1% of specialty grade Abaca beans of its direct relationships with growers and individual farms so they can assure the best quality coffee and teas for harvest.
During the event, we found out that The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf was not only a coffee brand for business but they also do a lot of charity and social involvements in multiple communities. For their 15th year in the Philippines, they conducted a Back to School activity for the students of Malagos Elementary School where there were 3 parts of activities. Part 1 was the Library Painting where they turned over their new library for the kids, Part 2 was the backpack decorating where participants can customize the bags sponsored by Jansport Philippines for the kids, and lastly was their DIY Notebooks activity where kids were taught how to stitch and customize their own notebooks for their use in the upcoming school year.
For their anniversary, various bloggers and social influencers were invited to have a flat lay challenge where CBTL provided with props to be used for their creative souls to make the perfect flat lay about the 15th Anniversary. Everyone took their turn to play around with the props and get to chance to will exciting prizes from CBTL.
They also conducted taste testing for customers and bloggers to try out all the different blends of coffee and tea. Honestly, I did not know that there were so many choices to choose from. Everyone was able to choose their preferred brew and found it useful for their next CBTL visit.
All in all, we had a great time during Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf’s 15th Anniversary celebration!
Here are some photos from the event.
