A great opportunity came up last Tuesday for my blog! Along with my co- members of Davao Bloggers Society, I was able to attend the Media Launch of VISIT DAVAO Summer Festival. This was a big deal for me because it was my first time to participate in a Davao Bloggers Society activity and I’m very grateful.

Media Launch was held at Seda Abreeza, Davao City.
The VISIT DAVAO Summer Festival is a series of fun and exciting events all throughout Summer. It starts on April 15 up to June 30, 2018. This event is the widest and longest summer festival simply because it features different tourism destinations from seven different areas in Region XI such as Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur; Davao City; Island Garden City of Samal; the Province of Davao del Norte; Mati City; the Province of Davao Oriental and their newest partner, Compostela Valley. This 10 week celebration will not all be about tourist spots but it also includes International and National Eco-Sports Events such as triathlons and frisbee also Davao Culture and the Arts activities with a lot of partying and leisure in between.
On the day of the event they gave us a copy of activities with detailed information on how to join or support these Sports Activities. The Mt. Apo Boulder Face Challenge, Mt. Apo Sky and Vertical Race, VDSF 2nd Amihan National Skimboarding Competition, Bonamine Ultimate Beach Frisbee Tournament, Air Asia Durianman Triathlon, Flanax Samal Marathon, Tempra Battle of the Strongest, VDSF 1st Comval Aquathlon, VDSF Climb Caravan, Mars Attack! Compostela Valley National Climb, and the VDSF Dive Fest.
There will also be events such as the Tourism Fair (June 27- July1), Hudijaka 2018 (July 1), BB. DavNor 2018 (June 28), Festival of Davnor (June 27), Agri- Aqua Trade Expo (June 27- July) and the Musa Man Tri Davnor (June 24).
I’m honestly excited with the these kinds of events because whenever my friends from Cebu would ask me what is in Davao to do, I can’t give them a lot of choices. Considering that the whole Davao Region covers so much small municipalities there’s got to be fun and entertaining things to do for summer. My favourite activity for the whole Visit Davao has to be VDSF 2nd Amihan National Skimboarding Competition. Not only because I love Mati City but also for the fun activities they can
offer. They will have a Full Coastal Clean- Up for April 29 and I think that would be a fun experience for the kids to be educated about the importance of preserving mother nature. What do you think? Should we go?
So my friends were able to win prizes from GLOBE Telecom. They received power banks! There was also a raffle sponsored by AirAsia and Cebu Pacific they were round trip tickets to Kuala Lumpur and the other was to Singapore. Aside from International flights being raffled they also gave out Domestic round trip tickets to anywhere in the Philippines. I swear I really thought I was going to win something that day! Everything just felt good and the day was great so I thought maybe I can push my luck further but to my dismay I was not the raffled winner. It’s okay! Considering that if I were to win one of the tickets I would still have to buy 3 more out of my own pocket for my family LOL.
I made a short vlog about this day featuring all the fun things we did. Hope you can watch the video!
